    • Great question. To me, this quote is about a choice. It is about our choice to lead and in doing so, commit to serving others. It is easy to fall into the trap of “friction”, seeing yourself as a small fish in a big pond, being petty, letting failure get to you. Focusing on yourself and trying to defend the status quo is exhausting.

But when you choose to lead….to really put others first, then the world is truly a wide place full of opportunity. With this choice even the smallest of actions to make a difference people can have a huge impact to change someone’s day, career, or even their life. And once you’ve done that for someone……done something for them that can never be repaid and never expected to be repaid, it is easy to build momentum to do it again…and again…..and again.

      • Thank you! Being in ministry it is all about serving and being apart of something that is bigger than who we “think” we are.
I was focusing of the word “friction” I see it as a Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Bringing the best out in someone. But I do see what you are saying. A leader or minister really is nothing but a servant. (often)
I love your insights, Kev, keep ’em coming!
