If you lead any size organization, the topic of whether the people we lead are engaged is relevant and urgent. As the graphic shows, in a Gallup study, only 13% of employees are engaged and a shocking 24% are actively disengaged.
But the idea contained in this short video is fascinating to me: no doubt organizations contribute to employee engagement, but I am fully responsible for my own engagement. The six questions posed, each starting with “Did I do my best to…?”, should challenge each of us to take control of our outcomes and engagement.
