Friday Unwind – “What is being creative?”

31 Oct

Good morning everyone. As I think I have mentioned before, I believe we are all creative. Here is a wonderful video that I hope will inspire you to think about your creativity anew. Don’t miss some of the great ideas:

Creativity is no longer a word reserved for the musician or the artist.

It is the ABILITY and the URGE to make something of value….

It is making something new…something different…..something that surprises….something that makes you think……something that makes you smile….

We may not always create or invent, but we always learn when we try….

Have a great weekend!!!!

All the best,

Kevin

Friday Unwind – Leadership

17 Oct

Good morning everyone.

I came across this short but powerful video on Vimeo this week. It is one person’s view on describing the fundamentals of leadership. Actually it is two peoples view, because I agree with everything that is shared.

Please think about these things……be challenged and inspired. Leadership is one of the greatest callings, but also one of the most challenging and rewarding.

All the best,

Kevin

Friday Unwind – Four Traits of Highly Successful People

9 Oct

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday!

This Friday Unwind is from Success Magazine and is a brief interview with one of my favorite authors, Laura Vanderkam. Laura is the author of a few books including,  “What The Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast” (http://www.amazon.com/What-Successful-People-Before-Breakfast/) and “168 Hours: You Have More Time Than You Think” (http://www.amazon.com/168-Hours-Have-More-Think/).

In this short post from Success Magazine You Tube Channel, Laura explains four fascintating ideas about what successful people do. Here are two of them:

  • Successful people make steady progress – build on small wins
  • Successful people are “unbusy” – they are very selective in the things they want to work on

Enjoy the video. Have a great weekend.

All the best,

Kevin
